My first appointment today is a man, early 50’s, divorced, highly educated, and his long term goal is marriage.
He said “I have just started dating and I am not meeting the right women. I don’t want to meet someone who needs to be rescued emotionally or financially. I love strong, independent women who are confident, intelligent, financially secure, and have achieved some level of success.”
I said “Considering you have all that to offer in return that will be the type of lady who will be most compatible with you.”
He enjoys spending time with his kids, skiing, racquetball, hiking, working out, an occasional concert or the symphony and exotic travel. He also enjoys sporting events and goes to most of the Bronco games.
According to his scores, he is direct and straight forward, very outgoing, nonconforming, highly affectionate and spiritual, as opposed to organized religion.
He said “So you are telling me that I will be most compatible with a lady much like myself. I thought opposites attract.”
I said “They do attract but they don’t work, except for the area of temperament. Two people low in temperament will butt heads and fight. Two people too easy going will avoid confrontation to the point of avoiding communication. Opposites in temperament can balance each other. For instance, with your temperament score you will be most compatible with a lady who is there to calm you down and you will be there for her to say A or B, what do you want to do.”
He said “I told you I like a strong woman. Someone wishy washy won’t work for me.”
I said “Not wishy washy, just a little more easy going than you so you don’t butt heads. I know you would walk all over someone who is too wimpy.”
He took a check out of his pocket and said “I knew I was probably going to do this before I came in because the friend who referred me to you knows several couples you have matched who are very happy. I don’t mean to give you a hard time.”
I said “Yes you do, you are a “5” in temperament.”
He laughed and said “Actually you nailed me with your little test. I can see the value in it.”
My second appointment is a lady, early 50’s, divorced, self employed and her long term goal is marriage. Although her scores are very compatible with the man I interviewed before her, they are not a match.
She was raised in Colorado Springs and just returned here a year ago after living in another state for over 20 years. She came back to be around her family as her parents are aging. She is very down to earth and happy to be back to the mountains and the Colorado lifestyle. She enjoys hiking, camping, running, exercising, water rafting, and concerts.
She said “I can’t wait to go to a concert at Red Rocks again!”
She said “It is like starting all over again. I have lost touch with most the people I knew here 20 years ago. I have not come close to meeting anyone I have wanted to even date but I am concerned about the cost of your service.”
I said “It isn’t costing you anything to talk to me so why don’t we finish the interview and I will know how many matches I have for you.”
She is very open on her age, height and race preference for a man and I have plenty of matches for her. She is fit, petite and attractive.
At the end of the interview she decided it was worth the investment.
She said “I am never going to meet these men on my own and I am ready for a serious relationship. I also don’t have the time to try and find someone on my own so I am going to let you do all the work.”
2015 is off to a great start and is typically my busiest month in business every year, unless the Broncos stay in the playoffs and go to the Super Bowl. Obviously that won’t be an issue this year.
