Last week was a very busy week at Perfectly Matched. I think the cold weather has people thinking about the holidays. It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is just 10 days away. The holidays can be a very emotional time, especially if you are alone. Of course everyone I work with is single and serious about meeting someone special and until that happens I am in a unique position to observe how the holidays effect people who don’t have someone special in their life. In my relationship history I have been on both sides of the fence and I can tell you for sure, the holidays can be much more special with someone special.
Some of my new “special” clients at Perfectly Matched this week are:
A man, late 40’s, educated, ABS (always been single)and his long term goal is marriage, possibly having children.
He enjoys skiing, exercising, yoga, movies, theater, concerts and he loves to travel. He is also a news junkie.
I shared information with him on four ladies and he said “I have been dating in this town for years and I never meet ladies like this. Where do you find these ladies?”
The answer to that was naturally, “At Perfectly Matched.”
A lady, early 40’s, divorced, educated and her long term goal is “whatever feels right.”
She said “I am open to all possibilities. Marriage, living together, having separate residences, it depends on the man and the situation.”
She is an avid golfer and enjoys CC skiing, hiking, biking, Pilates, exercising and living a healthy style.
She also very open on her preferences as far as age, height, race, and I have some great matches for her.
A man, early 60’s, educated, almost divorced and he is interested in starting to date again.
He said “My divorce will be final in a few weeks and I have been separated for over a year. I already tried meeting ladies on my own and I feel like I am spinning my wheels.”
I said “With your divorce just a few weeks away, I feel comfortable starting to work with you. The ladies will know how long you were married, how long you have been separated, and when your divorce will be final. If they prefer to wait until your divorce is final, we will wait.”
He enjoys hiking, loves camping and Blue Grass music, movies, concerts and going to plays. He is a Republican and he loves America.
A lady, early 50’s, highly educated and her long term goal is marriage.
She said “I don’t have kids but I love kids and I would love to be involved with someone who has kids. I would consider that a plus.”
She is very smart, successful, financially secure and has a career she loves. She is fairly new to Colorado Springs and plans to stay here.
She has been a competitive dancer and has always enjoyed dancing. She also enjoys reading, fishing, movies, theater, traveling and good wine.
She said “I am excited to be working with you, Donna. I think this is going to be fun.”
If you think it will, it will. Sometimes it’s just that simple.
I already have seven appointments scheduled for this week and I am looking forward to meeting them. One of my favorites things about my job is that I never know who is going to walk through my door and what their story will be. Most importantly, I am always excited to have new activity for my clients who are still looking to find their special someone.
