Today I had two delightful interviews with a young man who is 30 and a young lady who is in her mid 30’s. They are only three years apart but their profiles are very different. The one thing they do have in common is that they are serious enough about finding the right person to invest in Perfectly Matched. Another thing they have in common is that they both want to avoid divorce.

My first appointment is a man, 30, educated, ABS (always been single), and his long term goal is marriage and children.
What an impressive young man! He is seven years into great job with a solid company. He is very career focused but he now has the time to make his personal life a priority.

He said “I have worked with a matchmaking company before and I learned a lot about myself through that process. I saw your ad, checked out your website and I think your service would be a good fit for me. I have seen so many of my family and friends go through painful divorces and I want to do everything I can to avoid that.”

He enjoys running, road trips, theater, concerts, the symphony, painting and he loves jazz. He also enjoys working on cars and building computers. He has a desire to travel with someone special and would like to go to Europe.

He is very personable and easy to like. The kind of young man every mother would want her daughter to meet.

My second appointment is a young lady, mid 30’s, divorced, educated and her long term goal is marriage.

She said “Before my marriage I had a daughter when I was still in high school. She has already seen me go through one divorce and I don’t want her to see me go through another one. I want to do everything I can to make sure I marry the right man and that’s why I decided to call you.”

She is wise beyond her years and finds herself more compatible with men who are older than her.
She said “I really don’t think anyone my age or younger will be compatible with me. I find myself more interested in men about 10 years older than me.”
I said “Your life experiences, especially becoming a mother at such a young age, are very different than most young ladies your age and I can easily see you with someone older.”

She loves anything that has to do with water; boating, swimming, scuba diving. She was a cheerleader coach for a number of years and her mother was a cheerleader for a professional football team.
She said “I grew up loving to go to football and basketball games and I still love it.”
I said “Are you a Bronco fan?”
She said “No, I am a Texan fan. I was born and raised in Texas and when it comes to basketball I am a Spurs fan.’
She also enjoys bowling, hiking, concerts, and traveling. She would love to go on a cruise with the right man.

Her background also includes real estate and property management and she is a certified EMT.

She is a very resourceful and talented young lady and I look forward to helping her find a man she will marry and hopefully never divorce.
