My first appointment today is a “be back”, a lady I interviewed in October, decided now was the right time to join Perfectly Matched. She is mid 30’s, ABS (always been single), highly educated, her long term goal is marriage and children.
This young lady already has her master’s degree, is working on her PHD, owns her home, loves her job and, like so many clients I work with, the only thing missing in her life is that special someone to share it all with.
She loves volleyball, runs half marathons every year, enjoys live music, theater, Broadway shows, and she would like to travel more. She has family in Australia and has been there a half a dozen times. She has also been to Europe, Canada, and Mexico. She lived in Chicago for many years and goes back two of three times a year to visit friends.
She said “My life is so great and finding the right man to marry and have a family with would be awesome.”
She is about as sweet as she can be, smart, pretty and I look forward to finding her a compatible young man who has as much to offer her as she has to offer in return.
My second appointment today is a man, early 70’s, divorced, his goal term goal is a committed, monogamous relationship, and he would consider marriage.
He said “I have been divorced for 20 years and in all that time I have never been with a lady I considered marrying, but I am not opposed to marriage.”
He was referred to me by a friend, otherwise he said he would not have made the call.
He said “I never thought about a dating service but I went online and checked out your website and your blog and it seems as though your service is very personalized and you have been doing this for a long time.”
I said “I have! I worked for two national service for a couple of years before I started Perfectly Matched so all together I have been doing this for 25 years.”
He is very connected to his grown children and his grandkids and someone who has close relationships with her family is important to him.
He is very into cars and, although he does not race anymore, he enjoys helping out in the pit crew. He also enjoys concerts at the USAFA and events at the Fine Art Center and the Pikes Peak Center.
He loves to travel and has been to Norway, Sweden, Barcelona, and Amsterdam.
He said “Until my friend encouraged me to call you, I had sort of put this part of my life on the back burner but you have talked to me about some lovely ladies today and I am excited to meet them.”
I have some great matches for him and we already agreed on who will be his first match.
I received a Christmas card from a couple who met and married through Perfectly Matched. It was the second marriage for both of them. Their Christmas card is always the first one I receive every year.
In her card she wrote “Donna, I hope all is well with you and I am glad you are still putting couples together. Keith and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and we are expecting our 10th grandchild very soon. We can’t thank you enough for bringing us together.”
I really appreciate that 17 years later they still think of me at Christmas and send a card.
