June 28, 2013

This is my week for “be backs”. The lady I wrote about on June 18th who wanted a few days to think about whether or not she wanted to become a client decided to take the plunge.

She is early 40’s, divorced, educated, and her long term goal is marriage.

She said “Our divorce was about as amicable as any divorce could possibly be. My ex-husband is a great father and has 50% custody. I have dated a couple of men who were uncomfortable with how well I get along with my ex, and that won’t work for me.”

They have raised their kids to be independent thinkers and, although they are in grade school, they have definite opinions and she would want a man in her life to respect their opinions and not try to stifle them.

She loves gardening, yard work, and her home is her haven. She enjoys playing golf with “lovable coaching”, downhill skiing and traveling, especially to tropical places, and she runs 5 and 10Ks. She also enjoys the opera, the ballet, and occasional concerts.

The second “be back” is a lady I wrote about on June 15th. She is mid 40’s, highly educated, divorced, and her long term goal is marriage. She has one child who will be off to college in the fall. She is also excited about accepting a new position with her company.

She was referred to me by two ladies, a friend and a co-worker, who both meet their husbands through Perfectly Matched, and have been happily married for almost ten years and six years.

She said “I am going out of town this weekend and I will be back on Tuesday. I would like to digest all of this over the weekend and give you a call next week if that’s OK.”
I said “Of course, just let me know what you decide, either way, and I hope we end up working together.”
She said “I think we will, I am excited about everything you shared with me.”

A few days after we met she met a man on her own and thought their first date went great. She called me to let me know she was going to go out with him a few times before she decided whether or not to join Perfectly Matched. After their first date she never heard from him. She has no idea why he did not call back when he seemed so interested, spent three hours, gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said he would call her soon.

I said “That does not happen at Perfectly Matched. If they say they are interested and going to call you, they do. If they don’t, I call them and find out why they didn’t. There is no game playing because I am involved as a third party. Also, I work with serious minded people. They don’t play games.”

To be continued…………………….
