My first appointment today is a “be back”, a man I interviewed two weeks ago decided now was the right time to join Perfectly Matched.
He is late 40’s, divorced, educated, his long term goal is a committed, monogamous relationship, and he would consider marriage.

He said “I am very content in my life right now and someone would have to fit in just right in order for me to consider marriage.”
He has dated and been in two long term relationships since his divorce.
He said “I have learned a lot in the last few years and I feel confident I will know when I have met someone who is right for me.”

He is highly athletic and enjoys working out, golf, mountain biking, dirt biking, skiing, snowboarding, music, concerts and travel. He would like to visit Spain and Italy with someone special.
He said “I have two great kids and they participate in many of my activities. It would be nice to meet a lady who also has good kids and is very involved in their lives.”

He said “Donna, I don’t need a lady in my life, I want a lady in my life. I am going to join your service with no expectation. What I’m looking for in this lifetime is to find my “one”. If that happens through Perfectly Matched, great. If not, life is still good.”

My second appointment is a lady, mid 30’s, divorced, educated, and her long term goal is marriage and children.

She said “I wanted to have children in my marriage but, as it turns out, it was probably best that we did not have kids. It seems like pie in the sky to think I could meet someone at this age and still have children, but I have not given up on the possibility.”
I said “I work with many people in your age range and older who want to have a family. It is very common for people to have babies in their 30’s, and even 40’s today.”

She enjoys hiking, skiing, tennis, gardening, cooking, reading, writing, concerts, and spending time with her friends and family.
She said “I am active but I am not looking to meet someone who is super competitive. My ex had a way of taking the fun out of almost anything we did together because it was always about the competition.”

She is pretty, fit and classy. I complimented her on her beautiful dress and she smiled and told me she made it herself.
She said “I love to sew, it’s my therapy, and I have made most of my own clothes since I was in high school. I even made my wedding dress.”

She said “I have tried a couple of the online services, but it is so time consuming to filter through all the responses and it did not feel safe to me. I met two men who were not even close to a match for me and I took myself off of the site. I like that you personally meet with everyone and you told me when I came in you were going to ask to see a valid driver’s license. I have also been curious about what it would be like to work with a Matchmaker.”

I shared information with her on four men I think are good matches for her and we have agreed on the man she will meet first.
She said “If you find the right man for me, I have a few girlfriends who are waiting to see how this works for me and they will probably be giving you a call.”
I said “I appreciate referrals, and if you send me someone who becomes a client, I add a match to your program.”
She high fived me…I love my job!
