My first appointment today is a lady, mid 30’s, ABS (always been single), highly educated, her long term goal is marriage and she would like to have a child, or children.
She said “I realize I am at an age where having a child might not happen, but I really prefer to have that option. I think I will meet more serious minded men in a service like yours and I am tired of wasting time.”
Her last relationship was a long distance relationship, but she plans to stay in Colorado and he was not open to moving here. After almost three years of seeing each other every few months, they both agreed to end the relationship.
She said “It was more than just the distance. He was stagnant in his life. He had no ambition, or desire to be successful. He was just plodding through life with no direction or goals. I don’t care if someone does not have the education I have, or the money, but I want someone who has a passion for whatever he is doing with his life.”

She enjoys running, hiking the Incline, and Jack Quinn’s run downtown.
She said “Your ad is in the restroom at Jack Quinn’s and my girlfriends that I run with kept encouraging me to give you a call.”
She also volunteers her time to several local organizations, likes to travel, and brews her own beer.
She is traditional and a strong believer and would love to meet a man who shares her faith in God.
She was raised in the Midwest, and has a special fondness for men from the Midwest.

She is tall, strong, very healthy and fit, but she is not petite.
She said “I am definitely not for the man who is looking for the tiny, little Barbie doll.”
I said “I won’t match you with a man who is looking for the little Barbie doll. I will match you with a man who is comfortable with, and attracted to, a strong, pretty, healthy, woman from the Midwest.”
I work with lots of men who like women from the Midwest.

My second appointment is a man, late 40’s, divorced, self employed, grown children, and his long term goal is marriage. He is the first person to take me up on my offer of a free, lifetime membership to anyone who lost their home in the Waldo Canyon Fire.
He said “I would not have considered a dating service. It just felt like a pretty desperate thing to do, and not for me. My sister read about your offer on your website and mentioned it to me a couple of weeks ago. I told her I wasn’t interested. She accepted that, but a few days later she sent me a link to your website, and here I am.”

His home did not actually burn to the ground but the damage was such that it has to be completely rebuilt.
He said “I consider myself lucky that I did not lose everything, but it has been a life changing experience for me in so many ways. It made me think about what really matters in life, and I wished I had someone special to share all the emotions of the last month.”
He found a house to rent that is fully furnished. The person who owns the home is going to be out of the country for about a year so it was a win/win situation for both of them.
He said “Between my job and my home, I always stayed busy, but now I have time to make my personal life a priority, and I’m lonely. It’s weird to live in someone else’s home with all their “stuff” around me.”

He enjoys golf, hiking, spectator sports, traveling, good food, good wine, an occasional concert, AND, he like to dance!
He said “The more I thought about having someone special in my life, the more I liked the idea.”

His sister highlighted my offer which ended with “You build your new home and I will help you find your new mate!”
He said “I read that and thought, what the hell, what do I have to lose?”
I said “Let’s focus on what you have to gain!”
He said “I like you Donna, I think this is going to be fun!”

If you think it will, it will! I have some great matches for him and I told him to tell his sister ‘thank you’ for me.
