Donna’s Daily Diary has been MIA because my Dad had a setback. He will be having surgery today, Sunday, at approximately 1pm. They will be removing fluid that has collected between his lung and his chest. Today is his 88th birthday. The doctor said “Col, I am sorry you have to have surgery on your birthday.” My Dad “As far as I’m concerned Doc, that’s the best gift you could give me.” Ever the charmer, he inspired five of the nurses and others caring for him to put a huge sign over his bed that says “Happy Birthday Cadillac Jack” and they sang Happy Birthday. Please sent your positive thoughts his way.
