My first appointment today is a lady, mid 40’s, highly educated, divorced, and her long term goal is marriage. She has one child who will be off to college in the fall. She is also excited about accepting a new position with her company.
I said “My goodness, you have a lot of change going on in your life at one time, a divorce, a new job opportunity, and you are about to be an empty nester.”
She said “I know. I feel like I am starting a new chapter in my life and I would like to add dating to the list.”
As is the case with many people who have been married for a long time, most of her friends are married.
She said “I took my first solo trip ever last year and I loved it. I definitely want to travel more and it would be much more fun to do it with someone special in my life.”
When I asked her about her interests and activities she said “I am a girly girl. I like to shop, dress up and go to the Philharmonic. I like live jazz, book stores, museums, and I love the ocean.”
She is almost 6’ tall, and prefers a man who is at least her height.
She said “I have never been with a man who is taller than me and I would love to know what that feels like.”
She was referred to me by two ladies, a friend and a co-worker, who both meet their husbands through Perfectly Matched, and have been happily married for almost ten years and six years.
She said “I am going out of town this weekend and I will be back on Tuesday. I would like to digest all of this over the weekend and give you a call next week if that’s OK.”
I said “Of course, just let me know what you decide, either way, and I hope we end up working together.”
She said “I think we will, I am excited about everything you shared with me.”
This has been my week for interviewing great, quality ladies in their 40’s!
The following message was sent to me today by a lady who was a client for a year and a half before this man walked through my door. There were times when she was very discouraged but this email today confirms what I say all the time, it only takes one right one. She purchased 10 matches and he was her 11th match. I don’t give up!
Message: Donna,
How are you doing? I saw your article in the Women’s Edition I starting thinking about you and said I need to contact Donna. You have been so wonderful to me and I want to share what is happening in my life. I am doing wonderful and it’s all because of you. We spoke back in November and you had Tim call me and we have been seeing each other every since. I have never received the attention and devotion from anyone like Tim before, and at first it was hard for me. I had to do some adjusting and say yes I deserve this and things are going great! We just went on a hot air balloon ride over the city that was so wonderful and we had such a great time. The holidays were extra special this time around and all is going in a positive direction, which is all I ever wanted.
Anyway, just wanted to touch base with you and let you know I am extremely happy and I thank you for your patience in dealing with me. There really are wonderful men out there you just have to search for them!
Take Care,
There is someone for everyone, let me help YOU search!
To be continued………………
