My first appointment today is a man, mid 40’s, divorced, educated, two kids in college, his long term goal is a monogamous, long term relationship and possibly marriage. His last serious relationship ended a year ago.
He said “Since my divorce I have had two relationships that both lasted about three years. I don’t want to continue to have relationships that last a few years and then end. I would like to find the one person I can spend the rest of my life with and be happy.”
He realizes that he rushed into the first relationship too quickly, and the second relationship as well.
He said “I have deliberately not dated for a year to heal and reflect on what I can do to be a better partner and be more focused on finding the right partner.”
He started exploring dating services online and interviewed with two services in Denver before he met with me.
He said “I was flabbergasted by the fees they were charging. One company quoted me a fee of $25,000. I decided to meet with you last because I thought I would have more volume in Denver, but the drive there made me realize I don’t want to be driving to Denver to date.”
He enjoys playing golf, hiking, working out, traveling, reading, music, and spending time with his family and friends. He loves roads trips around Colorado and New Mexico.
He said “A weekend in Santa Fe is one of my favorite places to go. It is romantic, quiet, and there are so many great restaurants and shops to explore.”
At the end of the interview he said “I am very surprised by how you nailed me with your profile test, and even more surprised how you pulled out files of ladies whose scores were so close to mine. How do you do that?”
I said “I have worked with this test for 24 years and once I have your scores they become like your name to me. I could run into you anywhere and the first thing I would think would be 5-7-4-8-4-5. I just know the scores.”
He said “I want to work with you, Donna, and I am glad I came to see you last. I also appreciate that I don’t have to take one of my kids out of college to afford this.”
I have some great matches for him and I look forward to helping him meet the right lady.
