My first appointment today is a man, mid 55’s, divorced, grown children, educated, self employed, his long term goal is a serious, long term relationship and he would definitely consider marriage “to the right person.” He was wearing a very nice suit, fabulous tie and great shoes. It is nice to see a man handsomely dressed and so nicely put together. He ended a long term marriage several years ago and has only dated one lady since he has been divorced. His entire relationship history includes two women. I encouraged him to date, have fun, make friends, and explore his options. He has no idea how to do any of that which is why he called me. He knows he is not a dating pro and he was very open in telling me he would appreciate my help and my guidance. When I asked him his age preference he said “I hate to sound shallow but I think I would prefer to date ladies younger than myself.” Then he immediately agreed with me if he finds someone attractive that matters more than her age. He also readily admits that he has very little basis of comparison and he is going to trust my judgment. He enjoys hiking, travel, cooking, fly fishing, occasional concerts, and spending quality time at home. He seems to have learned from his relationship experiences and recognizes his short comings in each of those relationships and is intent on improving in certain areas. I found him to be very humble and down to earth. He has a lot to offer to a relationship and I hope to find him a lady who has as much to offer him in return.

This is a very busy time of the year. The sunshine and warm weather seem to be inspiring people to think about love and romance. There is never a bad time to fall in love but I think falling in love in the summer is the best! I have two appointments tomorrow and two on Friday and the beat goes on.

To be continued………………….
