My first appointment today is a “be back”, a lady I interviewed in July, decided now was the right time to join Perfectly Matched. She is late 30’s, ABS, educated, and her long term goal is marriage and children. She has lost 28 pounds since I met with her just three months ago. She said “I have thought about trying to lose weight for the last few years but when you told me I would have more options if I lost weight it inspired me to make it happen.” She went on Weight Watchers and, according to her, it was easy. She also started walking three miles five times a week. She said “Now when I am out and about I notice men looking at me and a man in the grocery store even asked me for my phone number.” She was not attracted to him and would never give her number to a total stranger but it made her day. Of course she feels much better, not only physically, but also mentally. She said “ Now, I know I will take care of myself and control my weight for the rest of my life.” She couldn’t say enough good things about Weight Watchers and her experience with them. She also told me “When I left your office after the initial interview, I was mad at you. I thought how dare her talk to me about my weight. I am not that overweight and I am pretty, successful, fun and have so much to offer to the right man.” She told her sister, who is also overweight, how she felt and her sister said “Don’t kill the messenger.” She said “I decided instead of getting mad at you I was going to do something about my weight.” I knew she was uncomfortable with our discussion about her weight because she said she did not feel she was overweight. I really never expected to hear from her again and when she called to come in today she told me she had lost some weight. She walked in my door and I couldn’t believe it. She was glowing, literally, and looks great. She said “let’s go back to your files and talk about men who would be interested in meeting me NOW.” She showed me and good for her!

I spent the rest of my day matching. I am still catching up for my unexpected time out of the office last week. October is almost always my second busiest month of the year and January is always my busiest month of the year. This October has been extremely busy and I am loving it. New clients means new activity for my current clients and that’s always good. I have three interviews tomorrow and one of them interviewed with me back in 1992. He could not believe I still have his paperwork. It will be fun to see if his scores have changed. I never discard any of the profiles of the people I have tested because they often times do come back but I had to really dig to find this guy!

To be continued tomorrow……..
