My first appointment today is a man, late 40’s, divorced, educated, no kids, his long term goal is marriage and he is open to having children. He said “You probably think I am nuts to think about having kids at this age.” I said “Not really. I have worked with clients older than you who are still open to having children.” He said “Has it ever happened?” I said “Yes, one of my clients had a baby with a man she married through Perfectly Matched and she was 44, he was 48. I also had a client years ago who had his first child with a lady he met through Perfectly Matched. He was 52 and she was 41.” I said “You aren’t going to limit yourself to meeting ladies who want to have children, are you?” He said “No, but in my perfect world I would love to have a child of my own.” I have three possible matches for him where that option would be available but that does not allow for new women who become clients or clients who come “off hold.” As the interview progressed he said “You know what? I AM going to limit myself to meeting only ladies who would be open to having a child. Look at Rod Stewart, he’s in his 60’s and is expecting his seventh child.” I said “If you had Rod Stewart’s talent and money that might make a difference. You are almost 50, have you always wanted a child?” He said “No, I just decided a couple of years ago and now it has become a burning desire.” He is also very open to being a stay-at-home dad. He said “I could retire tomorrow and would love to spend my retired years raising a child, or children.” As it turns out, he has almost as much money as Rod Stewart. Can’t hurt, could help.
My second appointment is a lady, early 30’s, ABS, advanced degree, her long term goal is marriage and children. Her mother sent her in my direction. In my opinion, she is almost breathtakingly beautiful. Her heritage is Swedish and Irish and she has the most flawless skin and pretty blonde hair. She has nonconforming, nontraditional scores and is very open on her preferences. Her relationship history is somewhat limited because she has been so focused on her career and education. She has a dry sense of humor, which very often comes with lower conformity scores, she said “A man who can make me laugh and laugh with me is really important.” She has written a novel and hopes to have it published soon. She enjoys travel, spending time with her family, hiking, music, concerts, reading, anything outdoors, sci fi, and dancing. She said “I also like horror movies. I am definitely not a “chick-flick” kind of girl.” AND, she will date men who are 5’6, AND she loves shaved heads, AND I have some great matches for her. She went to dinner with her parents after her meeting with me and she is going to get back to me. I think her mother is considering in making the investment in Perfectly Matched for her for her birthday. What a great investment to make in your child’s future!
Feedback today from a client who recently ended a three month relationship to a man I introduced to her. She said “I want you to know how much I appreciate your feedback and encouragement. If I had met him online I would have no real idea of why the relationship ended (he choose to end it) and, I would not feel as good about starting over again.” She is a very special lady with so much to offer to a relationship. I appreciate her positive attitude and belief she will find the right man with my help. It only takes ONE right one!
