My first appointment is a man, early 40’s, ABS (always been single), educated, his long term goal is marriage and children. His sister encouraged him to call me.
He said “My sister and I are very close, she is my only sibling, and my best friend. She keeps telling me my window of opportunity to have children is getting smaller and smaller because my sperm is getting weaker and weaker. She said when I was in my 20’s my sperm was like Superman, it could swim to that egg with lightening speed. Now that I am in my 40’s, she compared it to Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.” For those of you who don’t know who Eeyore is, he is the donkey who is always slow, and dragging himself through life. We agreed his sister’s analysis could be slightly flawed.
It is always fun for me to know someone’s sister has referred them to me. My experience has been that men who are connected to their sisters, are a little more in tune with women. How many women do you think could compare his sperm to Eeyore and get away with it?
His sister’s comments aside, he really does want children. He said what I so often hear from men and women in this age range, “I always thought I would have kids by now.” He is an uncle to his sister’s kids and is experiencing first hand the joy and wonder of watching a child grow. He also wants his next relationship to be his last. He is READY, to get married, have a family and live happily ever after. He had nothing but kind things to say about the ladies he had serious relationships with, but he knew they were not “THE one.”
He is fit and active but he is not looking for someone who is constantly watching their caloric intake.
He said “I love food and good wine and sometimes I like being lazy. I would rather have the option to hang out at home on a day off than be hell bent on that bike ride, or that hike, or whatever.”
He enjoys spectator sports and he is a big Bronco fan…Colorado College hockey fan, a Rockies fan, Av’s fan, and he really appreciates a lady who is also a sports fan, or willing to go along for the fun.
He also likes to travel, go to concerts, hiking, and he LOVES to dance! Men never say they love to dance unless they do.
His age preference for a lady is 30 to 38, but that is not set in stone if she is interested in having children. He is flexible as far as height, religion, education, and he is very open to meeting a lady who has a child. The only non negotiable is she must be a non smoker.
He said “My sister said if I wait any longer to get married and have kids that her kids will be babysitting my kids instead of growing up with them.”
I said “How old are your sister’s kids?”
He said “Four an two.”
I said “That gives us plenty of time!”
Monday and Tuesday night, September 24 and 25th at 6pm, the Flying W Ranch is having a “battle of the bands” event, the National Chuckwagon Jamboree, at the City Auditorium. There will be five bands, the good ole food you always enjoyed at the Flying W…pulled pork, beans, memorabilia for sale, great tee shirts, etc. $25 a person..come join the fun and help support the recovery of a long time community establishment that was destroyed by the Waldo Canyon fire.
