My first appointment today is a “be back”, a lady I interviewed a month ago, decided not to wait until the holidays were over and instead, maybe have someone to share the holidays with. The weather has been so unbelievably warm and beautiful no one is really thinking about the holidays but Thanksgiving is less than two months away. She is early 50’s, divorced, grown children, educated, new to Colorado Springs, and her long term goal is perhaps marriage. She said “It took me years to recover financially from my divorce. I am finally back in a comfortable, secure place and I see no reason to risk losing it all again because I trust someone who may not be trustworthy.” She said it makes more sense to her to say “what is mine is mine, what is yours is yours and what whatever we accumulate in our time together will be split 50/50 if the relationship or marriage ends.” I said “I think that could sound like a fair arrangement to the right person.” Whatever works for the two people involved in all that matters.

A client, a young lady in her early 40’s, called to tell me she was engaged and she had been thinking about calling me and sharing the news. She actually met him through a friend just a few months after she became a client and I matched her with four men before she met him. She was over flowing with happiness with the certainty she has met the man she will spent the rest of her life with and she is sure he is her soul mate. I did not introduce them to each other but she wanted to let me know that she felt coming to Perfectly Matched was her first step towards finding him because it was the first time in her life she made her personal life a priority and took a proactive step to find the right person. Someone else might have asked for a refund but she called to thank me. It got my day off to a great start.

To be continued tomorrow…………………………
